Advertising can be expensive. Especially when you are just starting out and growing your business! There are amazing ways to advertise and grow local customers, and we aren’t wanting to replace any of them. Each one has a slightly different demographic and distribution. We recommend businesses do their own research that is geared towards their ideal customer. Little Shop Talk strives to consistently offer a LOW cost for an entire year of advertising. The one-time membership payment $85 annually attracts year-long clientele. We post about local businesses daily on our social media channels, as well as highlight our members in our marketing email newsletters monthly! The Little Shop Talk Small Coupon Book is the most valuable and cost effective method of advertising to local target audiences!
Target a Local Demographic
Local families and hardworking mothers are by far our main demographic. Currently we sell the majority of our coupon books through local school systems as a fundraiser. Mothers and fathers, aunts and uncles, grandparents, neighbours, and the children in our community are our main support and sales. We are striving to increase our demographic to local teens of all genders by offering unique small businesses’ products and services. We are continually highlighting start-up, and family run home-based projects which attracts young entrepreneurs to start early on their own dreams and get involved in the local community. Targeting a local demographic increases exposure in the community in which a company resides and operates, fosters positive relationships, and creates company growth and exposure.
Engaging Community
Our passion is to create a network in which local business owners can connect and engage. Sometimes the best clients are other business owners! We have a Little Shop Talk Vendor Facebook Group that helps engage communication between your business, our business, and other local vendors. This is a great place to connect and communicate about all upcoming sales, themed items/services, and facilitate shared ideas and promotions. Creating communication between our community business owners can facilitate multiple levels of growth, ideas, and collaboration. We use multiple social media channels to promote and engage other small businesses and local community members!
Coupon Values
At Little Shop Talk, we put no limit on how businesses promote their offerings. Small businesses get full reign on what their coupons entail! We want to make sure that the coupons represent their business in the best way possible, that they are beneficial, financially feasible, and that they aren’t hurting the bottom line. Coupons can be in any format, such as percentages off, buy one get one, free items, gift with purchase, in store only, or online. Disclaimers and limitations can be included and set, so that there is only beneficial savings and promotions for the small business. Social Media Highlights
We know how important social media is for small businesses. We are constantly engaging potential clients by sharing content from our small business vendors on a daily basis. Our aim is to continually remind people about the Little Shop Talk Coupon Book so they benefit from our local small businesses’ savings. It is important to us to highlight small business retail and service options in exchange for big box chains. Our daily social media posts highlight individual vendors and their new products and services, by keeping up to date with their new offerings. Our monthly newsletter also highlights these offerings as well as specific vendors. The newsletter is a great way to feature specific vendors and reach new numbers of potential clientele! We will highlight each small business on our social media channels a minimum of three times per year and feature each business once in our monthly newsletter annually!
Expand Your Customer Base
Little Shop Talk understands the value of promoting your business in your surrounding areas. The Small Shop Coupon Book is now providing cross city advertising. Through Little Shop Talk, your business can now experience more brand awareness, more local customers, and more advertising for your business. If the application is approved for a secondary city, your business will be featured in the back of the book within the city you applied for. An additional fee of $40 will be added to your membership for each city you would like to promote in. With the cross city advertising, your company will now be exposed to twice as many potential clients!

Application dates for vendors open April 1st 2023 and close on May 31st, 2022.
